What the heck, right? After writing the last blog post on body types, I discovered this additional body type segmentation. Put simply, an android is bigger on top and a gynoid is bigger on bottom. There are some interesting nutritional needs differences for these two types.
You are an android if fat goes to your belly and above when you gain weight.
You probably have higher levels of cortisol. This causes the fat to move up to the middle. Vitamin C helps control your levels of cortisol. Eat a good serving of vitamin c at every meal.
These can reduce belly fat and increase fat burning ability. Add potatoes, white beans, barley, long-grain rice, and lentils to your meals.
If you gain weight in your ass or legs you are probably a gynoid.
Increased levels of estrogen are what causes your fat to migrate to your butt and thighs. Insoluble fiber reduces estrogen levels. You should eat one serving of it at every meal. Eat things like navy beans, squash, avocado, eggplant, or whole wheat bread.
Calcium regulates the way fat cells store and break down fat. Eating low-fat dairy, like milk, yoghurt, or cottage cheese helps with weight loss.
You are probably more sensitive to high fat foods and should eat lean meats low in fat and high in protein. Some of the leanest beef comes from ground round, tenderloin, sirloin, or flank steak.
I am clearly a gynoid, so now I’m going to make sure I consider these tips for my meals. See my breakfast with insoluble fiber (the bread) and calcium (Chobani low-fat plain yoghurt. Need to get in some lean beef for dinner!
